Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress model TV host and comedian. Regarded as the new Queen of Drama in various media publications, Panganiban is regarded as one of the best seasoned and versatile actresses in the Philippines. This was due to an aggressive strep pneumococcal bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston placed Angelica Hale on ECMO support for lifesaving treatment. Her kidneys did not recover after she developed a septic infection and suffered multiple organ failure. It was her new normal to have hemodialyses as well as peritoneal dialysis. After spending 80 consecutive days in hospital, from death to recovery she finally returned home, but her life was forever changed. Angelica was on dialysis for over a decade half years before receiving an organ transplant. The kidney that would be donated to her came from her mom. Angelica Hale, along with her mother had an organ transplantation procedure at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and the Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston on September 13, 2013. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star for years after.
