Mena and Missy

Mena Alexa Suvari was born on the 29th of September, 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actor. She began her modeling career in 1990 and soon moved into acting following appearances in television shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. She debuted in film with the show Nowhere, that was released in the year 1997. After her performance of American Beauty (for which she received a BAFTA Award) and American Pie which brought her greater attention, she began the transition to major role. Her next role was Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the lead character for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, an independent drama that aired in 2002, and the action film Trauma (2004) was the two films she has made her most recent appearances. In HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as the Outstanding Cast Member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she part of several films like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the movie adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads for Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured on numerous fashion magazines as well as blogs like Vogue. Suvari is a strong supporter and a defender of The African Medical and Research Foundation which is a well-known organisation that helps provide assistance to the African continent. In addition, she has been involved in issues of empowerment for women, as well as charitable organizations which promote research into breast cancer as well as End Violence Against Women.
